Thunderbird

This Thunderbird was done in Acrylic...

then I did the decorative lines in ink...I'm not sure if it's done or if I will add a background later...

Cactus

I tried my hand at painting and sketching cactus...

First I drew the cactus then added watercolor washes...finished with details in ink...

Watercolor Landscape with Horse

I've never really been great at doing the backgrounds in my paintings...

This one turned out okay...I still struggle with composition...I am drawn to using a circle in my paintings...

Playing Around With Watercolor

I had a small watercolor pad given to me so I used some of the pages to play with wet-on-wet watercolor...

First I created this flower...

The background is a watercolor wet on wet and then pen and ink on top to make the design. Filled in with more watercolor...

Then I finished this one with pen and ink...

Finally this blue flower...

It was fun trying to figure out what I could see and make from the different wet-on-wet watercolor backgrounds I made...

Happy 4th of July!

I tried my hand at some fabric jewelry.



If you look close I missed while sewing the trim on and have a gap where it didn't catch the edge.
I can still wear them on the 4th to celebrate our countries birthday.

I don't have much planned for today...maybe do a little painting...try out a tutorial or two.
We have a lot going on in town...a parade...food and other vendors at our local Boys and Girls club...and of course Fireworks tonight. I will probably go down and look at what the vendors have...buy something to eat but that's about it. The parade is a wet one...not my thing...Lol! I love Fireworks but I hate driving at night especially with all the crowds...so I guess I'll stay home and keep my dogs company.
